How to create a new eBay API key?

  1. Go to: https://developer.ebay.com/signin
  2. Click on the "Register" tab and fill the form.
    Important note. It's the best to singup using the gmail account. Using other email provider may result in issues with the account's activation.
  3. Check your mailbox and confirm the email address.
  4. Approval should take one business day.
  5. After approval log into your newly created account.
  6. Go to keys page: https://developer.ebay.com/my/keys
  7. Enter Application Title. It can be anything, i.e: "App"
  8. In the "Production section' click "Create a keyset".
  9. Fill the form.
  10. Go to https://developer.ebay.com/my/push/?env=production&index=0
  11. In the "Event Notification Delivery Method" section tick "Exempted from Marketplace Account Deletion".
  12. Confirm.
  13. Make sure that in "Exemption reason" the "I do not persist eBay data" is selected.
  14. Click submit.
  15. Go back to keys page: https://developer.ebay.com/my/keys
  16. Copy the "App ID (Client ID)" to "ID" field and "Cert ID (Client Secret)" to "Secret" field.

    Wichtiger Hinweis. Es ist am besten, sich über das Google Mail-Konto anzumelden. Die Verwendung eines anderen E-Mail-Anbieters kann zu Problemen bei der Aktivierung des Kontos führen.
  3. Überprüfen Sie Ihr Postfach und bestätigen Sie die E-Mail-Adresse.
  4. Die Genehmigung sollte einen Werktag dauern.
  5. Melden Sie sich nach der Genehmigung in Ihrem neu erstellten Konto an.
  6. Gehen Sie zur Schlüsselseite: https://developer.ebay.com/my/keys
  7. Geben Sie den Anwendungstitel ein. Es kann alles sein, z. B.: "App"
  8. Klicken Sie im Abschnitt „Production section“ auf „Create a keyset“.
  9. Fülle das Formular aus.
  10. Gehen Sie zu https://developer.ebay.com/my/push/?env=production&index=0
  11. Aktivieren Sie im Abschnitt "Event Notification Delivery Method" die Option "Exempted from Marketplace Account Deletion".
  12. Bestätigen Sie.
  13. Achten Sie darauf, dass bei „Exemption reason“ die Option I do not persist eBay data“ ausgewählt ist.
  14. Klicken Sie auf Senden.
  15. Gehen Sie zurück zur Schlüsselseite: https://developer.ebay.com/my/keys
  16. Kopieren Sie die „App-ID (Client-ID)“ in das Feld „ID“ und die „Zertifikat-ID (Client-Geheimnis)“ in das Feld „Geheimnis“.
